Manchester's Attractions

Manchester has plenty of wonderful dining options. The city has the second largest Chinatown in England and the third-largest in Europe. Manchester's Chinatown is filled with shops, restaurants, and bakeries, making it a great place to fill your stomach with traditional Chinese food and spend a couple of hours. Manchester is also home to a stretch of road called Curry Mile, which features the largest concentration of South Asian restaurants outside of India. 

There are plenty of historical landmarks and architecture to see in Manchester. Visit Manchester’s Town Hall for some great photo ops. The neo-Gothic building dates to 1887 and looms over Albert Square. For a pleasant afternoon experience, head to the Castlefield Urban Heritage Park, which is a walkable waterfront area with bars and green spaces. It’s located along part of Manchester’s 36-mile-long ship canal. Consider hiring a boat and going on a cruise of the canal during the evening.
