Client Feedback

Workshop: Advanced Negotiation Training, February 19-21, 2003 – Houston, Texas
“Good pace, and balance between lecture and activity to solidify lessons. A good reminder of our last training. I have employed the techniques recently; especially BATNA and trading. Good engagement with the students. The case study was fun and interactive. Overall it was time well spent and certainly helped the team focus on improving our fundamental negotiating skills.”
Dan Carlson, Global Business Manager, Shell Chemicals

“The framework provided has been very useful for organizing complex negotiations. Negotiation sim tool was good.”
Daryl Schuck, Customer Business Leader, Honeywell

The applicable practice sessions were memorable and gave an opportunity to compete. I got to use this recently to negotiate price, and I anchored higher than normal.”

Houston’s Attractions

Houston’s weather is classified as humid subtropical. August is generally the hottest month, while January is the coldest. Expect summer and winter averages to be around 85 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit (29 and 10 degrees Celsius), respectively. The summer is a great time to watch a sporting event by one of the city’s three major sports teams – Houston Astros (MLB), Houston Texans (NFL), and Houston Rockets (NBA).

There are a number of fantastic museums in Houston, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Children’s Museum, the Museum of Natural Science, and the awe-inspiring Space Center Houston – the gateway to NASA Johnson Space Center. Visitors can explore space artifacts and interactive exhibits, and learn about the publicly known human spaceflight program (not the undisclosed programs). There are also displays of shuttle launches, science and space shows, and an abundance of retired space technology to learn about. A must-stop for anyone wanting to explore their inner astronaut.
